Pearl River, NY – 3/14/2024… Today, law enforcement leaders from across the Hudson Valley joined together in condemning Mondaire Jones for his false attacks and expressing their support for Congressman Lawler. Recently, Mondaire Jones has claimed the support of Hudson Valley law enforcement in the race for the 17th Congressional District.

“Congressman Lawler has supported law enforcement while in Congress, including in his hometown of Orangetown. Our members saw it first-hand when he was Deputy Town Supervisor of the Town of Orangetown and got the Department what was needed, we saw it when he was in Albany, and we have seen it in Washington D.C. time and time again. Most recently Congressmen Lawler assisted with getting 10 million dollars in seizure money out of bureaucratic red tape and to Police Departments and Sheriffs in the Hudson Valley,” said Larry Ayers and Patrick Casey, Rockland County Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association President and Public Information Officer. “Mondaire Jones can make up stories about budgets and appropriations, and play other political games, but when it comes to supporting law enforcement in the Hudson Valley, Congressman Mike Lawler has never wavered.”

Lawler challenges Jones to own his radical views and apologize to border patrol & ICE agents

Pearl River, NY, February 29 – As new details emerge about the brutal attack and murder of Laken Riley in Georgia, by illegal immigrant, Jose Antonio Ibarra, Congressman Mike Lawler today took Mondaire Jones to task for his radical support of open borders, backing of Sanctuary States and Cities, and for his calls to slash funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Lawler also demanded Jones retract, apologize, and answer for his accusations that U.S. Border Patrol agents are guilty of “unfathomable cruelty” against people illegally crossing into the United States, and of his assertions that ICE “terrorizes” illegal immigrants.

“I’ll tell you what ‘unfathomable cruelty’ is, Mondaire – it’s stalking a young woman who just wanted to go for a jog, hunting her down like an animal, and beating her so viciously it disfigured her skull,” said Congressman Lawler.  “That’s what terrorizing someone looks like. That’s what cruelty looks like.”

“If it weren’t for the Biden open border policies that Mondaire Jones wholeheartedly supported during his time in Congress and his embrace of Sanctuary State and City policies – that let Ibarra walk free after his arrest in New York City – Laken Riley would be alive today,” concluded Lawler. “It’s time for Mondaire Jones to answer for his radical and dangerous views and stop playing keyboard warrior on his Twitter/X. Commends State Legislature for largely adopting NYIRC’s bipartisan map

Pearl River, NY, February 28 – After the Senate and Assembly having both voted in favor of a final version of New York’s Congressional Map, sending the legislation to Governor Kathy Hochul’s desk, Congressman Mike Lawler released the following statement.

“I was glad to see both the Senate and Assembly exhibit restraint when it came to their final map,” said Congressman Lawler.  “While there were numerous attempts throughout this process to engage in a partisan gerrymander, the final map largely abides by the New York Independent Redistricting Commission’s bipartisan version and ensures fair, competitive districts across the state.”

“Today’s bipartisan vote is a win for the voters and a win against partisan gerrymandering,” continued Lawler. “Now it’s on to November.”

“It’s clear the cold weather must have frozen the brains of hacks at the DCCC and Mondaire Jones’ campaign,” continued Russell. “The idea that they are now on record stating that a young woman who becomes pregnant at college should be bullied and shamed into having an abortion, and starved of the ability to make an informed decision about her own reproductive health, is sick and twisted stuff.”

1/8/2024, New City, NY – As Israel has fought to defend itself against the existential threat of Hamas, far-left politicians have begun turning on our greatest ally, including Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren who have criticized and even called for the ending of aid to Israel in its hour of need. Mondaire Jones, who claims to support Israel, aligned himself closely with ‘the Squad’ while in Congress, who proudly touted endorsements from Senators Warren and Sanders in a newly unearthed podcast with Mehdi Hasan, whose anti-Israel views were too extreme for even MSNBC, and proudly affiliated himself with the Democratic Socialists of America in 2019.

During the podcast, Mondaire Jones is touted as the newest member of ‘the Squad’, with Mehdi Hassan heralding him:

Mehdi Hasan: “The Squad looks like it’s set to grow on Capitol Hill. This week saw big historic wins for progressives in Democratic congressional primaries.”

Mondaire Jones: More people who have the lived experiences that would inform our policy discussions should be at the table of power—fighting tooth and nail for the things we say we care about as the Democratic Party.

Later in the interview, Mondaire Jones proudly touts endorsements from Sanders and Warren, stating:

Mondaire Jones: “Elizabeth Warren, Julián Castro, and Bernie Sanders have all endorsed my campaign.”

Mehdi Hasan: “A very good trio to be endorsed by, I’ll say.”

Ciro Riccardi, campaign manager for Congressman Mike Lawler, reacted to the unearthed interview.

“Mondaire Jones can’t have it both ways.  You either stand with Israel and denounce the anti-Israel rhetoric of people like Senators Warren, Sanders, and his fellow ‘Squad’ members or you don’t.  It’s time for moral clarity, not straddling the fence. Which is it, Mondaire?” asked Riccardi.  “Jones can try to rebrand himself a ‘pragmatist’ all he wants, but the truth is he’s a self-described ‘socialist’ with one of the most extreme voting records in Congress.”
